Where:  Capitol Hilton, 101 16th Street, Washington DC 20036

A reception will be held in Washington DC to honor the women leaders and members of the Minority Congressional Caucuses.  A key invitee will be First Lady Michelle Obama.  The goal of the BEC in facilitating this event is to recognize and thank our female  polictical leaders as well as to urge greater economic development under the Obama Economic Stimulus plan.  Two awards will be persented at the event.  The "Eleanor Roosevelt Economic Development Award" will be presented to the woman entreprenur or public advocate that has been an activist for minority and women-owned businesses.  The "Maynard Jackson Economic Freedom Award" will be presented to an elected official, without regards to race or gender that has exemplified strong leadership in ensuring economic parity for minority and women-owned businesses.
